The best of both worlds, half of the cake is covered with a layer of luxuriantly creamy, melt-in-the-mouth almond paste, finished off with a scrumptious layer of white fondant icing decorated with a Christmas tree and stars, while the other half is topped with a delicious mix of nuts and cherries, so you can keep everyone happy this Christmas.

Made to a family recipe that dates back to the 1920s when the quality of a Christmas cake was taken very seriously (and quite right, too!), this gorgeous little bake has been perfected in the century since its first incarnation so you can be sure you’re giving something really special. About Country Fare
Based in the picturesque Cumbrian valley of Mallerstang, Dianne Halliday has converted a barn in the grounds of her working sheep farm into a real cottage industry. Inspired by traditional family bakes that have been passed down and perfected through the generations, she and her team of baking experts, gathered from the surrounding farming community, use the freshest possible ingredients to make unbelievably delicious fruit cakes.
