On a hot summer’s day, when you’re serving up home-made ice cream to cool down friends and family, what better way to present it than in home-made waffle cones made with the Zoku Waffle Cone Maker? Ideal for sweet and savoury batters, it’ll turn out one perfectly golden circle after another with ease, and of course, you can use it to make flat waffles as well as waffly good ice cream cones.

You can make thin ones for delicate wafers, patterned tuiles for sophisticated desserts, and thicker ones for children’s cones, or for stacking to make ice cream sandwiches… The mouth-watering options are endless!

Easy to use

Just apply a light spray of cooking oil to the plates and wait for the light to change from red to green before you ladle or pipe in your waffle batter – and because they cook on both sides at once, they take just 2-5 minutes to be golden brown and ready to lift out. There’s an overflow channel around the edge to catch any excess if you’re a little over generous when you add the mix, so you don’t have to worry about burnt-on spills, and the cool-touch handle makes it simple to open and shut.

Cone-forming tool included

Just-cooked waffles are still soft and malleable while they’re warm, so they’re easy to roll around the conical shaping tool to create authentic ice cream cones. And waffles don’t just make cones and wafers… they can be shaped into edible bowls to help you serve desserts and gelato, or sorbet and ice cream for garden parties and dinner parties alike – just drape a waffle over an upturned mug, cup or ramekin to create the shape you want.

Top tip : – if you’re worried about sticky drips coming through the base of a cone or bowl as the ice cream inside melts on a hot day, just use a little melted chocolate to seal the base. Dipped, poured or brushed into place, once it’s set it solves the problem of sticky fingers and adds an extra taste dimension that’s sure to please anyone with a sweet tooth.

Cast aluminium non-stick plates

Made from aluminium, the cooking plates heat quickly and evenly, and the efficient non-stick coating requires very little oil to release each waffle with ease once cooked.

Auto-shut-off

For safety, the Waffle Maker will switch itself off if it’s in danger of over-heating.

Slim to store

Once it’s cool, the squared-off hinge of the Waffle Cone Maker allows it to stand upright so it’s slim to store away.

Please note : Zoku recommend using a heat-resistant plastic or wooden spatula, or tongs, to lift the hot waffles from the waffle press to avoid the chance of scratching the non-stick surface.
