From the innovation experts at Panasonic comes this 4-in-1 Steam Combination Microwave that uses a range of techniques to allow you to easily cook fresh, healthy food with minimal effort – everything from crisp-skinned glazed pork belly to ginger sponge puddings and lots more besides. This 27 litre capacity machine replaces the space-hungry turntable with a simple flatbed that offers 29% more space than similar-size microwaves, so you can fit much larger dishes inside – it’ll even roast a joint of meat big enough to feed the whole family.

Versatile cooking options

1000W Micro Power – with six power levels to choose from, the microwave oven offers High, Defrost, Medium, Low, Simmer and Warm. ‘Bottom-feeding’ technology ensures the microwave rays hit the food from every angle, and as there’s no turntable taking up space, you can fit a large casserole dish inside and not have to worry about room for handles to turn as your food cooks or reheats. And Panasonic’s advanced ‘inverter’ technology ensures that bursts of power cook things through evenly for optimal results in less time than a standard microwave system. Max cooking time 90 minutes.

1200W Grill – three ordinary grill settings allow you to cook toast, bacon or sausages in the old-fashioned way or to melt cheesy toppings and brown gratins – use the non-stick Panacrunch pan as a tray to lift items to the right height, and it’ll catch juices, drips and crumbs as things cook. Max cooking time 10 minutes.

Panacrunch button – The dedicated Panacrunch option combines the traditional grill with microwaves to warm the ridged Panacrunch tray so it’ll brown and crisp pizzas, frozen foods and breaded items while they cook. If accessing the Panacrunch feature via the dedicated button, remember to tell it the weight of your food, so the oven can select the best cooking time for your dish.

Oven – just like a traditional oven, this option warms the oven cavity from the top and bottom simultaneously, and requires pre-heating before you roast or bake your ingredients. You can use the Panacrunch tray as a shelf or shallow oven tray – it’s ideal for roasting meats as the ridges in the tray allow excess fat to drain away from the joint, and you can add an extra shelf if you wish to cook on two levels at once. Temperature options range from 150-220°C in ten-degree increments – but there is a super-low setting for proving yeasted doughs – and a safety cut-off will switch the oven off if you haven’t placed anything inside within 30 minutes of switching it on.

Steam – a super-healthy way to cook, Panasonic’s Turbo Steam technology offers High, Medium and Low settings, and directs steam into top of the oven for steaming fish, vegetables, chicken and rice. The steam option can also be used in combination with the other cooking modes to reduce cooking times and ensure that foods stay moist and succulent as they cook. Max cooking time 30 minutes.

Chaos (defrost) – created for defrosting minced meat, chops, chicken portions, meat joints and bread quickly, this function produces a random sequence of pulsing microwave energy that speeds up the whole process and gives a more evenly defrosted result. Programme in the weight of the item and the oven will judge the perfect defrosting time, beeping at intervals to prompt you to turn the food if necessary.

Auto Steam – just tell the oven the weight of your dish or ingredients, and it’ll decide how much steam is required, and how long to cook your food for. Perfect for cooking chicken, fish, vegetables and rice, symbols appear in the display to let you know which cooking modes have been selected – and the timing will be sorted for you automatically.

Auto Cook – similar to Auto-Steam and fabulous for plated meals, frozen veg and fresh fish, you only need to let the oven know the weight of the food and it’ll choose the ideal power level/combi-cooking option and time itself accordingly.

Combination cooking – clever combinations are possible with this Panasonic oven – choose to cook super-speedy gratins, lasagne and shepherd’s pies using the grill and microwave together.

Steam Shot options – adding a burst of steam is a well-known trick to enhance heat distribution around the dish you’re cooking – particularly popular with bakers, it helps breads and cakes to rise, improves the crust of French-style breads, and encourages puff pastries to reveal their layers more clearly. You can choose to ‘inject steam for 1, 2, or 3 minutes in Microwave, Grill, Panacrunch, Oven and combi Grill+Microwave modes.
