The whole Lakeland team instantly fell in love with this beautiful Turquoise Rice Bowl, so we just had to add it to our tableware range. Coming complete with a pair of bamboo chopsticks, there’s something about the contrast between the rich turquoise colour of the crackle-glazed interior and the matt black exterior – and the wonderfully tactile shape – that begs you to pick it up and eat every meal Oriental style.
Deep-sided and conical, the bowl is the perfect shape for serving super-speedy stir fries, rice and noodle dishes, but we think it’ll be great for miso soups too, and the looped handles are the perfect place to slot your chopsticks while you’re chatting over a meal so that you keep sticky marks off the tablecloth.
Made from stoneware, the bowl is heat-resistant up to 180°C, and is dishwasher safe if that’s how you prefer to do your washing-up. And if you love the look, there’s a matching side plate available too.
