Bought this to dust a chocolate cake and made a fantastic effect. It's cocoa powder with gold glitter mixed in. I'm going to use it on a tiramisu for extra effect this Christmas. Might even use it on my husband's cappuccino. This is also available in sweet mixed with icing sugar, if you don't want the chocolate taste.
I've used mica powders in crafting for years and was thrilled to buy this edible version. It is a Mica dust and should really be fluffed over an area with something like a paint brush. I used it on chocolate decorations and got the most luxurious, regal results. On plain cakes or coffee dust this lightly through a stencil. Nothing more is needed. DON'T use the pourer, don't wet it unless you are painting with it then glycerine is best. This is a dressing and best used dry for beautiful results.
I recently bought this product to sprinkle "Gold" "diamond dust" onto the top of my Christmas cake. The colour of the product on viewing the pot is Gold. The words cocoa are quite small and therefore you don't realise that this product isn't gold at all. It's brown. Like cocoa powder. The shaker cap has large holes and the product comes out in clumps of brown with a bit of sparkle. I've ruined my Christmas cake and very dissapointed. Only suitable for brown cakes!

Incredibly disappointing, totally marketed as shimmer dust no where is it official described as cocoa powder in the description, "Diamond Dust Sparkling Deco Powder" but as a sparkling powder. The word cocoa is mentioned in the place a 'shade' is written and is so small. The tub is also very misleading and portrays it as shimmery dust :((((( money wasted

I got this to do a light shimmer of gold on top of some cupcakes, however it is only in fine print that this is mainly cocoa powder; the holes on top are too big, meaning ruined cakes. Not really sparkly either unfortunately.
