With its integral, freezable gel ‘walls’ and insulated lining, this clever can carrier can keep its contents cool for up to 9 hours. Jane from our Buying Team tried it out on a trip to Glasgow with friends, and she’s happy to report that by the time it got to the evening, the remaining cans (not that there were many left!) were still chilled.

Unlike some cool bags where you have to remove the gel pack and freeze it separately, the whole bag collapses flat and fits into the built-in ‘dry’ bag for popping into the freezer. Just freeze overnight, pack with your food and drink in the morning and the insulated liner will keep the contents cool all day and well into the evening.

In addition to its comfy carry handle, Packit also has an adjustable shoulder strap for easy transportation when you need to keep both hands free. And underneath the top handle you’ll find a useful mesh ‘skylight’ pocket where you can keep your phone, keys and other small items, while on one side is a zip pocket for utensils, napkins and other bits and bobs.

Of course, you don’t have to fill this durable cooler with cans: it will also keep sandwiches and other food cool too, so It’s ideal for lunch at the office or picnics in the park.

As it collapses almost flat, Packit is easy to store in a cupboard until next time it’s needed.
