We all know about the good work done by the Rainforest Alliance, and it’s great to know that Lavazza are working alongside them in sourcing delicious coffee varieties. The UTZ is a less well known organization that links responsible tea, coffee and cocoa growers and assists them with all the necessary paperwork to prove their environmentally friendly credentials along every step of the supply chain. And in January 2018 these two pioneering fair trade groups merged, which is good news for consumers who prefer to try and be ‘green’, as they can now pool their resources and help even more farming communities around the world.
