Make it, smash it, eat it! Our Christmas Pudding Smash Cake Kit helps you make a scrumptious sponge that holds a hidden surprise… just crack the chocolate shell to reveal the secret stashed inside!
Fun family treat
You don’t need to be an experienced cake maker, buy a special tin or even have a traditional oven to make this smashing treat. With detailed, easy-to-follow instructions, it makes a great holiday project for any budding bakers in your family to lend a hand in the mixing and measuring, and creates a fun centrepiece that the whole family will enjoy cracking open.
Easy to make
Inside the kit you’ll find a pudding bowl to help you bake and shape your cake, together with sachets of ready-mixed ingredients to make the chocolate shell, sponge, buttercream, secret sweet filling and icing topper. Then all you need are a few basic ingredients – an egg, a little oil, milk, butter and water – and access to a freezer and microwave to create this sweet treat.
First, use the bowl to shape and set the chocolate ‘shell’; once that’s safely turned out, add the cake mix and wet ingredients, beat and cook in the microwave for 3 minutes. Beat up the chocolate buttercream (there’s a sachet of dry mix for that too), then carefully cut and sandwich the layers of cake together, leaving a hole in the top to hold the jelly beans and hundreds and thousands. Top with the chocolate shell, pipe buttercream round the bottom and add the royal icing and holly decoration to create the Christmas pud look. Once your cake’s complete, simply serve, smash and enjoy!
Kit comprises:
Please note: check the wattage of your microwave and adjust accordingly before you select the baking time – time stated in instructions is for a 900W microwave.
