Handmade with love and Lyth Valley damsons, this intensely fruity Syrup for Gin & Prosecco was originally created as a one-off to mix with bubbly at a wedding… After the toasts, guests were so wowed by the fruity addition to their fizz they demanded that the bride and groom – founders of ‘Cumbrian Delight’ – must add it to their repertoire, and so this product came to be bottled for the rest of us to enjoy. Hurrah – we’ll raise a glass to that!

A scrumptious taste of the English Lake District, this dark red syrup is made with delicious Cumbrian damson plums hand-picked from the orchards of the Lyth Valley. It contains 33% damsons which means it’s packed with intense flavour that will add a deep, rich flavour to your favourite fizz, cocktail or mocktail. Attractively presented in a clip-top glass bottle, it would be a great gift for a friend – if you can bear to give it away…

Serving Suggestions

Add a dash to a flute before you pour your Prosecco in for a taste sensation. Tip: if you pour the fizz slowly into a tilted glass, it creates a subtle layered effect.

Mix equal parts with your favourite gin or vodka and serve over ice – Voila! Instant damson ‘liqueur’, without the tedious wait of steeping your own.

Create fruity non-alcoholic cocktails.

Add a little to your breakfast yoghurt, or ice cream dessert for a delicious hit of fruity flavour.
