Handmade in small batches in the Lake District, this particular flavoured vodka is inspired by a famous local confection – Kendal Mint Cake – a variety of peppermint tablet that seems to have originated in Kendal, Cumbria in 1880 and is still made there today by two of the original three manufacturers. Famous for being taken on the first ascent of Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953, it’s a bit of a local legend. So when a local publican discovered an ancient recipe for mint vodka in his loft he was determined to use it to share Kendal’s sugary speciality with the wider world.

If you love mint and you like vodka, you’ll be happy just sipping this over ice; if you’re a bit of a mixologist, you know it’ll pair perfectly with lime or lemon for a whole range of vodka mint cocktails. Also makes a great addition to ice cream, cheesecake or chocolatey desserts and a scrumptious addition to hot chocolate.
