A relatively short-lived publication, Country Fair was particularly famous for its unique covers – every one of which was illustrated with woodcut-style prints of British wildlife, all created by the Australian-born graphic artist, John Hanna. Older customers may remember his designs being reproduced as limited edition placemats – and the chances are high that we’ve all been influenced by his unsigned works for Kelloggs, Peek Frean, Wall’s Ice Cream and many, many more.
