Lakeland Make your Own Fudge Kit

I bought this kit as a present for my fudge-loving son who is 14 and we made it yesterday. We followed the instructions carefully and the fudge has turned exactly as expected and it really tastes like the delicious fudge you can buy. When we planned to make it I found that you needed a sugar thermometer which I didn't have, so we had to put things on hold for a day while I ordered one but I don't think the fudge would have worked without one. As the thermometer is an essential piece of equipment it would be useful to have this stated on the box so you know before you open the box.

Waitigfor my grandkids to come and make it with me. If it’s anything like most Lakeland things it will be excellent, and very tasty!

Really great gift! I bought this for my fudge loving husband. He has had great fun making different flavoured fudge with my son. After starting with vanilla, he then experimented and our joint favourite is chocolate orange. Great for making gifts for others too. You do have to by the sugar thermometer separate, but luckily we already had one. It does say on the packaging, but I hadn’t checked.

Sadly purchased this in store as a present. Checked the box carefully and did not realise you need a sugar thermometer, until the recipient opened the box and then saw online it clearly points this out, too late for us though. So looked up online to see if possible to buy one but it will cost almost as much as the present. Told them they will have to wait until christmas now which is a disappointment.
