4-Cup Egg Poacher

I find this egg poacher very satisfying to use. The cups are suitable for large eggs and I can see through the lid when they are nearly done, so then I turn off the heat. Sometimes I don't use fat at all and they come out well. Unfortunately 'someone' broke the knob on the lid so I am hoping Lakeland can supply a spare!

Despite a couple of negative reviews, I decided to buy this poacher because I got very tired of the "egg in vinegary water" method (who, really, can spend their lives getting eggs so fresh that they hold together?).So far, so good. Delighted with the design, the non - stickiness of the cups, and the end result. If you follow the guidlines properly - and goodness knows, they're simple enough - you'll end up with the perfectly poached egg.

This product is robust and versatile. I have used it at least once a week for 9 months and it is still in the same condition. I have not experienced any problems at all. Eggs come out VERY easily; I spray the cup with low fat spray oil and get them out with a rubber spatula. I love the fact you can also use it as a frying pan which saves on cupboard space.

We are so impressed with the poacher, we are now buying one for our daughter who uses vinegar and not enjoying them. It cooks quickly and perfectly, with a knob of real butter in the cups, the eggs fall out. She is in for a real treat!

Having lived through thinking a good start to the day was eating a bowl of carbohydrates and milk, then struggling for a while with boiled egg shells, this egg poacher is a real find. I've seen the earlier reviews. Maybe the design has changed as I don't recognise the problem symptoms . Use a knob of butter in each tin. Don't point each tin at the rim. Use a tea towel folded in quarters to lift out the cooked tins, place upside down on the plate and the egg falls out, no knives. It's presumably not made to bash around, of course, but there's no need. Can be part of the morning routine.
