About Country Fare

Based in the picturesque valley of Mallerstang, near Kirkby Stephen, Dianne Halliday has converted a barn in the grounds of her working sheep farm into a real cottage industry. Inspired by traditional family bakes that have been passed down and perfected through the generations, she and her team of baking experts, gathered from the surrounding farming community, use the freshest possible ingredients to make unbelievably delicious fruit cakes.

Something magical occurs before a finished product leaves the Country Fare bakery, resulting in the moistest, most flavoursome fruit cake imaginable. Maybe it’s something in the beautifully fresh air of the valley where Dianne and her expert team do their baking.
