Chrome Dish Drainer & Tray

Like others I am very pleased with the design of the drainer but also have problems with premature rusting.I clean and dry it more often than I should have to but the rust gets worse and also leaves indelible marks on the tray where the feet rest.I would like to replace it but am reluctant to do so for £20 if the new one has the same problem

I have had this drainer for many years - didn't even need to change it when I had a new kitchen fitted 3 years ago - and have had no problems. Perhaps it's only with newly produced drainers.

I purchased this item because my previous plastic drainer was difficult to keep clean and the tray would avoid the build up of lime scale on the stainless steel sink top in a hard water area. No problems so far with rust but the cutlery basket needs to be a finer mesh as items frequently fall through, especially knifes. The other problem was mopping up the run off in the tray but I made a small hole in the lowest part at the front so the water drains away gradually. Result : no more cleaning lime scale or mopping up.

I've had mine for years and it hasn't gone rusty but having just got a new kitchen, I have noiced that it's started to scratch my new stainless steel draining board. It's a shame it doesn't have little rubber feet to stop the metal on metal damage.

I think this drainer is a brilliant design - it holds so many plates and dishes.However it has gone rusty, as has been mentioned by a couple of other reviewers.I have just ordered a replacement - as it is otherwise such a good design.I hope the manufacturers have now taken steps to improve the rust situation! 5 stars for the design, but reduced to 3 because of the rust.
