Lakeland Flat Clothes Airer

I was a bit nervous about buying this product, having read the previous reviews about the difficulty folding it away but there was nothing else remotely affordable on the market that would do the same job. I am under 5 ft tall and in my late 60s but I had no problem whatsoever. It's not elegant when folded as it doesn't go quite flat, so actually would use up less space stored open but collapsed under a bed for example. Also the clip looks generous but the aperture is too narrow for my shower rail so it balances there precariously, but it does the job and is excellent value for money.

As an airer for drying jumpers flat it works absolutely as intended, I can’t fault it on that. However, there’s clearly a knack for getting it folded neatly, and it’s a knack I don’t possess - despite multiple attempts the best I can achieve is a weird twisted bulging lump. The instructions say to twist then fold, which is easier said than done when it’s trying to jump out of your hands like a greased weasel. Perhaps a video would help?

I totally agree with the previous reviewer. This looks like it will be a useful dryer, but trying to twist and fold is seriously hard - it jumps about all over the place. It seems it is critical how you hold your hand at the bottom.

This dryer is excellent, lots of drying space, sturdy, box to keep it in when not in use. Everything I wanted BUT we cannot master folding it up for storage. As suggested by another reviewer, an online video might help.

Great for drying sweaters and delicate items. I agree with other reviews about the difficulty of folding up to store. Luckily my son was visiting and he did it for me - he was always good at origami!
