"Screw in Base Appealed - but it's a bad design" star star star star_border star_border We were attracted by this airer, because of the 'screw in' base, which we thought would be easy to level. The problem is that the base protrudes about 5cms from the surface of the lawn, so it tends to lean unless it's really equally loaded, which you can never get 100%. Overtime, it has come to lean more and more. Effectively, because of the protrusion, it is gradually being levered out. It's not helped by the fact that the pole does NOT fit snuggly in the base, so the lean is more acute. I suspect it's only a matter of time before we bin this, and buy a better designed product. support_agent A note from the team We’re very sorry to hear this if you bought it from one of our stores, then you can simply return it and they will be happy to help you. "Flawed Design" star star star_border star_border star_border First the plastic lip on the spike was broken but we let that go. The big problem is that the diameter of the ground spike is much larger than the diameter of the pole which has to go in it. Using a spirit level we put the spike in the ground perfectly straight but once you put the pole in, the airer rocks about and leans within it. It leans even more with laundry hung on it. We wedged 2 bits of wood in the gap but it didn't work. We now have a flattish stone wedged between the pole and the inner edge of the spike to stop it from leaning/moving about. Don't bother, not a good product. support_agent A note from the team We’re sorry to learn this didn't meet your expectations and we'll be in touch to arrange a refund.
"Rotary line doesn’t fit into spike properly" star star star_border star_border star_border Rotary line is too small and rocks about in the spike as it doesn’t fit snugly. Means it’s on a lean. Very frustrating. support_agent A note from the team Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear to hear of your experience and I'll be in touch to help.
