Ever wished you could squash your clothes airer down to a fraction of its regular width when you’re not doing a full wash-load? The Lakeland Beechwood and Steel Extendable Concertina Airer lets you do just that, making it easy to tuck it neatly away into the corner instead of having a half-empty airer on show in the middle of the room.

At its narrowest, this compact airer squeezes down to a mere 47cm – that’s about the same width as a medium T-shirt – so you won’t have to worry about it taking up half the room like some other, bulkier concertina airers. And when you want to extend it, it’s so easy to just slide open the telescopic bars to reveal an additional 28cm of width.

Position 1 – 47cm wide.
Position 2 (extended) – 75cm wide.
Drying space 10m – holds up to 15kg.

The four bars running along the top form a handy shelf for drying smalls and socks, freeing up the remaining bars for larger items like shirts and jumpers. And when your clothes are all dry and ready for folding away, the airer folds down for easy storage, so you can tuck it away, out of sight, out of mind, ready for the next time you need it.

"Concertina airer"

Lightweight and compact. Easy to carry . Very sturdy and I found it easier to keep the airer laid flat to finish assembly rather than lifting the airer up and using the free hand to guide the notches into the grooves of the locking arm as suggested . Easy to collapse down and holds quite a lot of washing too. Very pleased with this product and highly recommend it

Just received this Airer and happy I eventually decided to go with Lakeland. It doesn’t take up a lot of storage space and couldn’t have been easier to use. I like that it extends when up and able to accommodate whatever you are drying. It’s well made and having the steel bars make it quite rigid and hopefully will last longer. I am sure this will save money over the winter as I reduce my tumble dryer use. Excellent service from Lakeland as always and having the three years guarantee is great.

We have found this airer ideal. We don't put a lot of clothes on it but the fact the it can be extended is a bonus. perfect for a small quantity of drying.
