Lakeland Beechwood and Steel Concertina Airer
Product number: 53348
If a concertina clothes airer could ever be described as elegant, this might just be the one. With a beechwood frame and black steel bars, the Lakeland Beechwood and Steel Concertina Airer doesn’t just dry your clothes quickly and efficiently – it looks the business too.
Narrow enough to tuck neatly into a corner, it’s a great option if you want to be discreet about doing the drying. Quick and easy to put up, with grooves that clip into place to make sure it doesn’t collapse, you can choose between two different height options to suit whatever you’re drying.
The four bars running along the top form a handy shelf for drying smalls and socks, freeing up the remaining bars for larger items like shirts and jumpers. And when your clothes are all dry and ready for folding away, the airer folds down for easy storage, so you can tuck it away, out of sight, out of mind, ready for the next time you need it.
Fully open 60.5 x 35.5 x 160.5 H. Lower setting 144.5cm H. Folds to 11.5cm H.

Brilliant. I was concerned while reading the negatives. This product is brilliant , and well built.
I purchased my first wooden clothes airer to suppliment my two larger metal airers during the winter, with the bad weather, living in a flat and not wanting to use my tumble dryer constantly, it seemed like an ideal solution for when my two larger, metal airers were full. The first one arrived and I liked it and thus ordered another one. The second one came, and like another reviewer, I had to tighten the screws holding it as they were loose, one rung seems a bit bent too, overall they do feel a bit rickety, however time will tell of longevity. 4 stars overall but knocked one off for the bolts
This review is for an older version of this product
Really pleased with this sturdy clothes airer which I can put outside on the patio and whip it inside quickly if the weather turns. It takes up a relatively small footprint but can hold a load of washing easily. I particularly like the flat drying surface on top for jumpers or on bedding days I can drape sheets over the whole without touching the ground
Hi We bought this airer in Nov 2923 & agree with other reviews as constantly have to re tighten all the screws -with only 5 polo shirts hanging on it last night one of the beechwood struts completely snapped where a bolt is -so now completely unusable -def would not reccomend this product as paid £ 59.99 last year for it .
Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear of your experience with the airer but we've passed your feedback along to our buying team. It's covered by our three year guarantee so it can be returned for a replacement or refund depending on what you'd prefer.
Bought to replace an old metal one. 2 wooden sides have bowed due to weight of wet clothes- not fit for purpose. Nice gaps between each rail to allow air flow. Quite tall but good for trousers, duvet covers etc as they don't drag on the floor
