I have found this ironing board to be of good quality and very stable in use. The height is easily adjusted and I found the wide surface very helpful when ironing such items as duvet covers. In all a very useful product.

Leifheit Airboard Express Large Lightweight Ironing Board 130 x 38cm
Product number: 53325
Fed up of lugging a heavy ironing board around the house? Leifheit’s Airboard Express Ironing Board is lightweight, easy to put up, is perfect for steam generator irons as well as ‘normal’ steam irons, and has some helpful little extras to help you speed through the ironing.
Steam through the ironing
Designed with steam generator irons in mind, this board will work perfectly with any kind of electric iron. Its perforated padded cotton cover allows steam and heat to penetrate, reducing any moisture build-up on your clothes, its large surface area means you won’t have to move your clothes around as much, and it has a huge iron rest to hold the generator base.
There’s a cable stay to keep your iron’s flex safely and neatly out of the way while you’re ironing, and a foldout hanging rail to hold your shirts and tops both before and after ironing, so you don’t have to keep trekking backwards and forwards to your airer.
Easy to lift, adjust and store
At 5.8kg, it’s surprisingly light considering its size, making it easy to lift, carry and put up wherever you want. You can adjust the height from 76cm all the way up to 100cm, and when you’ve finished, the legs lock tightly for easy and convenient storage until it’s called into action again.
5-year manufacturer’s guarantee.

I have found this ironing board to be of good quality and very stable in use. The height is easily adjusted and I found the wide surface very helpful when ironing such items as duvet covers. In all a very useful product.
This board replaces my old metal one and I love how light it is and the ease in which it folds away/adjusts. I especially like how it holds my large steam iron. One slight drawback is that the water generated collects on the underneath of the board. This results in some drips of water which I simply dried with a towel when packing it away. However the ironing surface & hence my clothes remained dry throughout a typical 90 minute session of ironing. Overall I think this is well designed & practical ironing board. I am very pleased with it.
Designed specifically for a steam generated iron, after first use, my carpet was soaking wet. Air holes in the board allowed steam to penetrate causing condensation around the metal frame to drip onto the floor. Lakeland said the problem is my iron allowing steam through the ironing cover & board??? Customer service rep said it was the cover allowing the steam through and I could purchase a special cover; the cover came with the ironing board specifically for steam generating irons. Lakeland customer services have always been helpful but this time they have fallen short.
Thank you for your review and comments. We're glad to see you've already been refunded. Please remember how much water a steam generated iron uses. The steam has to return again to water as it cools. The ironing board surface is cool causing the steam to condense. The advantage of the Leifheit Airboard is that having a "plastic" top rather than metal, less steam will condense. However, the steam that condenses will turn to water. This will happen with any ironing board, but less because of Leifheit's "plastic" surface. As our adviser suggested, one can use a cover with thinker padding which will absorb more moisture; but in the end the moisture has to go somewhere. A tip is to only use the additional steam available when necessary.
