Modern take on traditional design
A long way from the cumbersome all-wooden or wobbly wire folding airers of old, the four hinged sections of our airer feature strong, elegant uprights made from lightweight beechwood, smoothly finished at the top to help prevent clothes from catching and snagging. Its sturdy aluminium rungs won’t sag or bend, and strong connectors hold the sections together so there’s no danger of them coming loose.
Aluminium rungs won’t mark clothes
Wooden rungs can leave marks on your clothes, which is why the ones on this airer are made from rust-free, stain-resistant aluminium, helping to stop your clothes being marked or stained while they dry.
Easy to angle to fit space available
The versatile folding design means this clothes dryer can be set up in a variety of positions depending on the load and the space available – ideal if there’s an awkwardly-shaped, out-of-the-way spot in your home that’s perfect for getting the laundry dry.
Folds for storage

This Airer is light to carry and move around which is ideal for me. It folds away easily, when not in use, and fits into a small, narrow space. Also holds a good amount of clothing and is sturdy.
I finally needed to replace my old 4-fold airer, and wanted something more eco-friendly. This is perfect. The wood is only on the stands, so the aluminium should hold up better for the rungs than it would have if it was wooden. It is light (due to it being aluminium) but sturdy, and we immediately started using it. We love the look. It isn't particularly wide, but you can fit an adult t-shirt across the length of it. I will probably buy a second when our back-up concertina airer has had enough.
This is a light and lovely item. It’s good looks mean that it goes anywhere in the house and its slim profile means it is easy to store behind a door. It is big enough to cope with a laundry load including bath towels or sheets. Initially I’d bought the modern laundry ladder and was disappointed with it’s petite size but wow Lakeland Ltd to the rescue, offered me a refund and a collection to allow me instead to choose this bigger airer. I am impressed with the product and with the service.
Found this to be unsteady and extremely flimsy. Sadly had to return without using. My first negative Lakeland experience
