Plant Food Maker

This is a good looking niffty little plant food maker. My neighbours have been intrigued by it. I found it relatively easy to put together except the lid for the can. The two lugs didn't want to go into the holes with hand pressure, so I used a wooden mallet and gave it a couple of whacks which did the trick. Personally I would have liked the body to be attached to the base in some way or sitting deeper than it does, as the amount of liquid does not make a lot of weight and with our windy/gales weather it could be toppled. So a very sheltered spot is needed. Other than that it is a great item.

I bought this as I really liked the idea of making my own plant food. The item looks ok, is a good size, but..... as others have said its quite difficult to use. The catch on the lid needs a hard tug to remove it.The inside spindle is impossible to remove where it is supposed to click into the basket. I ended up leaving it in place, which makes filling the basket very awkward. The basket itself which takes the plant material is difficult to fit together and almost impossible to undo. Finally the tap leaks constantly.

I have just bought this Plant food Maker but was very disappointed with it. It is very fiddly to put together and very hard. You need a lot of strenght to clip the handle and basket together and I could not do it. I got my son over to do it for me which was fine but when I came to fill it up with greenery today I did not have the strength to seperate the basket and handle so unless you are strong and feel you could cope with this then I would advise against buying this product.

I purchased this plant food maker thinking what a great idea ( big mistake). The person who designed this maker could not have tried to use it. First of all to try and load the basket with grass cuttings and leaves is very awkward then to try and open the basket is nearly impossible unless you are a bodybuilder. Then when you go and turn on the tap to drain the liquid food you just get a tiny amount out because the grass cuttings have come through the holes of the basket and blocks the tap up because its got a filter on the nozzle.my advice to anyone is DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
