Roll up, roll up, get your salad here! An innovative way to grow your greens, the seed-impregnated roll is an all-in-one growing system with four rows of mixed salad seeds; just roll out onto the ground or raised bed, cover the edges with soil, water... and in a few weeks you’ll have a crop of fresh salad. The polythene film overlay protects the seeds from birds and, during germination, retains moisture and increases warmth, just like a greenhouse would. As seedlings grow, they push up the protective film to form a polytunnel; when you remove it, you’ll have a full and healthy salad garden! After use, the whole thing is compostable.
Varieties include red and green batavia, tango and cos lettuce. Includes six ground pegs and can be cut to fit smaller containers.

I have found this product a good one. With the wet early summer it was slow to get going but my salad harvest now is great and very tasty! So sorry you won't be stocking it again! PS the seeds sprouted at different times due to the different varieties included. Once they all got going it was thick growth.
I agree with the previous reviewers - this was a failure for me. It sprouted, and then the seedlings seemed squashed by the film and never managed to push it up, so all died off. It would have been better to plant seeds in a poly-tunnel.

I had the same results as many others - very few germinations and these never got past tiny seedlings. Could be because I was planting in containers and therefore very difficult to get the roll suitably flat but it is ridiculous that something this expensive is so difficult to get a good result from. I gave up and planted a handful of seeds straight from the packet into the same compost and had seedlings starting to come up within two days!
