Firewinder

I bought a Firewinder despite reading the negative reviews. I have fitted mine on my shed adjacent to another wind twister I have and it has worked from the off. Obviously to see the LCD lights working best it needs to be dark, not full sun. I am very pleased with my Firewinder.

I would agree with all of the above, haven't seen it light since I spun it on its arrival.

Bought the Firewinder in the summer 2011. On one of the very few windy days it worked well - very impressive display. Since then it has failed completely. Only 7 months old.

Looks great. When you spin it, it works. Goes up in the garden (use your own measurements their are wrong) easily. There it sits and sits an sits and does nothing. for 4 days we have had winds of 13-17 kph and it never turned once, and never lit a single LED. Not only will it need a good wind, but a constant one too. The second it stops so will the light. If you have a garden and location that offers you this, well done, but I suspect that most of the population won't. I look out of the window, the trees are being blown, the branches sway, the light is ....stationary!

I agree entirley with previous review. We have had very strong winds this weekend with very little show from the firewinder. The information in the catalogue is very misleading. I would return it but would be left with fixing holes in my fence post. Perhaps if I lived right on the coast with constant winds it would work
