They look like they’re made of slate, but it’s not until you touch them that you’ll realise they’re not! Formed from a frost-proof stone composite in resin, these lightweight planters look great and benefit from a built-in drainage reservoir. Fantastic for flowering bulbs.

I ordered three, and I am so pleased with the bowls. They are now on the back step filled with alpines to make a fantastic display. They have already been commented on that it is really hard to tell they are plastic. So wish I had more space to utilise more of these!
I bought two of these, due to the original price & the frost-proof stone composite in resin description, I was really disappointed to find they just look & feel like plastic bowls! From a distance the patterning on them may look a bit like slate I hope. I wouldn’t have paid any more than the sale price for them personally. They have a built in drainage section, which you can remove or leave in a plug, I’m not yet sure how well this will work instead of the usual crocs or handful of gravel. Mine didn't break on carefully drilling out the holes though.
Normally a produce grower, I saw these attractive looking plant bowls and thought - half price great, just what I need for the driveway. Originally £7.99 and looking at the picture I assumed that they were of a generous size and totally forgot to check, as wanted to buy before sold. When they arrived I was impressed with the quality - true Lakeland. They have a water catch/drip tray in the bottom, so plants roots do not get soggy -excellent.. However they were so much smaller than expected or look in the picture. I was most disappointed. For me as a grower even sale price was too much.

bought 3 of these bowls. Drilled out the holes in the bottom and am delighted with them on the patio now filled with bulbs and topped off with cyclamen.
These Artstone planters are fantastic. Once you buy one you just cannot stop! They not only look great but they are nice and light weight to carry. Our plants and herbs are flourishing! I would recommend them to anyone.
