Slate Sundial

Product number: 51746

Slate makes an excellent material for a sundial and, of course, even if the sun doesn’t shine this summer, its natural hardiness will stand up to the worst of the British weather, year after year. Placed on a plinth or garden wall, it makes a fine focal point for your outdoor space, and a handy perch for birds too.

25cm (10") Dia.

This review is for an older version of this product

The sundial comes in two pieces without assembly or set-up instructions. Lakeland's photo on the web-site shows the gnomen assembled incorrectly. You'll have to figure it out yourself - so it helps if you're an astronomer.

support_agent A note from the team

Thanks for placing your review. The photo is incorrect in that the gnomon (the piece of slate that slots onto the dial) is the wrong way round.Place the long, straight-edged side of the gnomon so that the bottom point touches the sun symbol (near the word Sundial) on the dial. Align the symbol X11 to the north and the dial is ready to use.
