More than just a gas barbecue, having an Ascona in your garden is almost like having a whole kitchen out there – minus the sink! You can grill, roast, bake, cook, stir-fry... everything from sausages to a gourmet meal. The key to its cooking capabilities lies in the unique patented funnel inside the kettle: place in the ‘volcano’ position to use for grilling directly at very high temperatures like a traditional barbecue; or turn the other way to cook or roast food indirectly and evenly, similar to cooking in an oven – with the lid on, you don’t even need to keep turning your food. As well as giving you more control over the way you cook, the funnel shields the burner from dripping fat, reducing smoking, flame flare-ups and burning.
