Wooden Composter

Great Product - found no problems with instructions - 15 mins to setup and put in place - not bad for an OAP.Just right for my small garden - pity your discontinuing this composter, it would be good value even at original price.

I think I am reasonably good at self-assembly items but I ran into some difficulty with this - the instructions were not terribly clear. My other worry is that there doesn't seem to be any way to fix the top half to the bottom half - it just seems to rest on the bottom half. I wonder whether this will be strong enough come the winter gales! Otherwise, it looks very good and sits neatly in the corner of my very small garden. Time will tell whether it is a good buy or not!

It looks nice and is a great size for my London garden and 2 person household. However, it isn't very sturdy, one of the lid supports broke pretty quickly (at least the other one's still there, so still works). Also, as it is bottomless foxes have a go at it pretty often. The choice here is about looks or practicality. If, like me, you don't like those ugly big plastic composters (or have nowhere to hide them) and would rather have something looking nice in your garden then this is right for you.

At first we were very please with this compost bin. It looked nice and was very accessible to use. Unfortunately that is as far as the praise goes. We bought the bin 8 months ago and have already repaired it twice as it has come apart and slates have fallen out. We have only used it for kitchen waste and therefore have not overfilled it. We have now had to remove it as it was just not up to the job. The frame is not very sturdy and does not hold up to the elements very well which is a shame.

Good design, good size for small garden, but let down by very flimsy construction. Slats on lid continually coming off - despite being hammered down each time. This is a lot of money to pay for such a flimsy item - doubt if it will survive wear and tear for very long. Overall a disappointment.
