Ideal for a patio or small garden, our Bean Planter is the easy way to support your beans, other climbing vegetables or sweet peas. Position the wire spiral in the bottom of the grow bag included, fill with compost and hook the spiral to the top of a bamboo cane (not supplied), ready for your climbers to snake their way to the top.

Read the previous reviews before I purchased these planters but I am very pleased with them. I have had no problems planting them with only one of the pegs. The secret, I think is to sink the end into the soil as if it were a screw and then pegging about 4 inches from the end. My sweet peas, morning glory and blackeyed susan love them.

I'm not using the planter only the spiral as I have a greenhouse I want to grow really tall beans in. I've stretched the spiral to over 6 foot and attached to roof of my wooden specially designed greenhouse and it is sitting fine in the soil. Now about to buy another two.
Sorry but even though this is cheap it is really not worth bothering with. No instructions included (instructions on the product page isn't good enough, plus it still doesn't really work). After 45 mins of faffing I finally got the frame supported by a single bamboo cane by pushing it through the bottom of the bag! Without doing this it kept toppling over. Sorry, not impressed.

I liked the idea of this and despite the poor review I thought I'd have a go. Truth is that the bean pole doesn't stay upright in the tub so you need to support with other bean canes anyway which defeats the point of having the spiral. Lakeland, why on earth are there no instructions with this or tips? Potentially great product but a waste of time and money. Both of mine are going back.
