4 Adjustable Bottle Top Waterers

Product number: 51258

Here's a straightforward recipe for healthy houseplants – take an empty pop bottle, pour in some water (with plant food if desired), top it with one of these clever waterers, then turn upside down and stick into the houseplant's soil. Adjustable collars allow the flow to be regulated to ensure just the right amount of water is delivered to the roots.

Can also be used in the greenhouse or garden. Fit most plastic screw-top bottles.

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I purchased 3 packs of these for holiday cover. I wished I had checked the reviews first as I agree with the other reviews. I decided to test them before using them for holiday cover and the most annoying thing is that the black collars get lost in the soil and you end up digging out half of the soil to find them. At least if they were neon you might stand a chance of finding them. They block easily so the water does not drip. Some bottles have emptied very quickly and other which must have been blocked not at all. This is a great idea but unfortunately this product has many issues.

"NormieM"

I bought these thinking I would be able to provide water for my plants while I was away. The water just runs out even with the valve fully engaged. When I took them out of the soil the valve stays in and is impossible to locate - a complete waste of money.

"blocked hole"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

These are a great idea but the hole is so small the water didn't come out gradually as hoped, even when opened fully. One of them became blocked by the soil. The water in the bottle stood for 2 weeks while we were on holiday. Ended up in bin.

"disappointing"

I bought some of these last summer when I went away on holiday and they did not work the water filtered out way too quick.

"good idea, not good design"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

thought this was a good idea for thirsty tomato plants during the summer. Unfortunately the small holes get clogged up as soon as the spikes are inserted into damp compost- the water then stays in the bottle and not into the thirsty plants!
