Make sure you don't run out of gas come barbecue time. Our indicator will let you know exactly how much gas is left in your bottle. Simply place the magnetic indicator near the bottom of the bottle before you turn on your gas, wait a few minutes and it will let you know whether it's full or almost empty and time to refill.

I have to totally disagree with the previous reviews. What a 5 star product!! The colour automatically changes when the level in the tank is in line with the Indicator. Ideal for both my gas Barbie and heater. I can now see when the tank is getting low and I need to get a replacement.Thanks Lakeland for giving me foresight.!!
I bought one of these the other day at the Belfast store and when I tried it at home it appeared not to be working. However I did a little research on the technology and discovered that the indicators only start to change colour when the level of the gas falls below the top of the indicator. Until then it shows the bottle as "full". So I plan to measure what "depth" of gas I want to be available when I buy a new cylinder and then position the TOP of the indicator on that line. Hope this might help some other customers.

I'm sorry that on this occasion the product wasn't as expected. We'll be in touch shortly. Please note: to ensure strip works correctly simply place the magnetic indicator near the bottom of the bottle.
This definitely does not do what it says on the packet. Lakeland you have let the side down with this one! We have tried this every which way and still it does not show any indication of what gas is left. Don't waste your money!

Saw this in store and thought what a fantastic idea. No more worries of running out of gas half way through a bbq. Unfortunately though when we tried it we had the same results as one of the other reviewers - everything lit up so it gave us no indication at all of how much gas was left. Wish I had read the reviews before buying then I wouldn't have bothered with it. As our nearest store is over an hour away I decided to buy it there and then to save delivery costs of ordering online.
