3 Twister Plant Supports

Product number: 50955

A best seller at the Chelsea Flower Show 2008, supporting climbing flowers or vegetables, even tomatoes, couldn't be easier thanks to this ingeniously simple spiral device. Used in the ground or in a pot, just hook the end of the Twister into the top of a cane then stretch it down and secure it firmly at the bottom with the peg included.

Each support can hold more than one plant, which you won't even need to tie on. They fold flat for easy storage and, being made of galvanised steel, will see you through many growing seasons.

Approx. 30cm (12") Dia. at base, extends up to 2.1m (7') H. Pack of 3.

"DISAPPOINTED"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

My mum has been a customer of Lakeland for years and has never been disappointed with your products, until now. It took 2 of us this afternoon to try and fix the twister. We gave up after nearly being poked in the eye with the end bit as it kept springing back out of the soil. One peg isnt sufficient at all, we tried all ways but gave up with frustration. To say how expensive it is, a BIG let down Lakeland

Thank you for placing your review. We're sorry you've had problems fixing this product. Other reviewers have offered tips which may help: "Simply anchor 30 cms into the soil - as per the instructions - secure with peg then stretch." : "Put both ends of the support INTO the cane. They work! Then push the cane into the ground or pot." We hope this helps and will be in touch soon.

"Great product - shame its critics can't read instructions"

Can't understand the endless bad reviews of this kit. I found these very easy to use and secure. Simply anchor 30 cms into the soil - as per the instructions - secure with peg then stretch. I live in a very windy area and these twisters stay up. My beans and peas are very happy.

"nice to be different!"

I found that the pegs which came with the supports did not work at all. Even if I used all 3 on 1 spiral, they still didn't stay in the soil. However, now I've bought some cheap tent pegs. I've put in 3 pegs to hold down each spiral and they work really nicely. My cucumbers are very happy climbing up an attractive spiral support, rather than boring, ugly bamboo canes.

Thank you for review. I'm sorry you've been disappointed with the pegs, I'll be in touch shortly.

"They do work!"

I misread the instructions as I think a lot of others have done. Put both ends of the support INTO the cane. They work! Then push the cane into the ground or pot.

"Couldn't make this work"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I bought these last year and was very hopeful but couldn't safely make these work in pots - the bottom end kept springing up at risk to eyes, plus my runner beans didn't seem to enjoy trying to grow up them - they stuck firmly to the cane in the middle. They've stayed in my shed for this year.
