Patiogro® Greenhouse Kit

I bought the kit to provide my patiogro with shelter from the elements and I was glad I did. The kit was easy to attach to the basic frame and it has provided my plants with invaluable protection from cold , wet weather . However, like a previous reviewer, I am disappointed with one aspect of the plastic cover. The method of attaching the cord ties at the front of the cover is much too flimsy. Within 2 weeks both ties ripped away - not due to rough handling or weather. I notice that it isn't possible to buy a separate plastic cover - though you wouldn't really expect to have to buy one so soon! I shall try to repair the cover but this sounds like a design fault.

Further to my original review (below) the PatioGro has been very successful this "summer". Spare covers (because of the tearing problem) are available from the manufacturer over the internet. Perhaps Lakeland could stock them as well as the extension kit. I am completely new to gardening but wanted a mini greenhouse to try a few fruit and veg in. I bought this with the cover and it has been very successful. I do have a couple of warnings for others though. The plastic cover is quite fragile and despite securing it firmly, it tore at the bottom where it was tied on. I solved it with heavy duty repair tape - ugly but effective. The second problem was that even 50% loaded, the whole growhouse took to the air in recent storms and landed on our potatos. We are considering concreting it in but meanwhile have anchored it with bricks and growbags. All in all a good buy for someone who isn't sure they want to invest in a 'proper' greenhouse or who doesn't have much space.

This kit has turned my display and growing area into a fully functional greenhouse. It was a little fiddly to put together but very worth while. I ordered another one so now have 2 greenhouses, which take up so little space My husband made some slats for the top bit, left and right and I can store 2 more trays, in fact 18 all together, so am amazing capacity My only gripe is being unable to buy the pvc cover as a separate item and it must put people off buying the kit, knowing that the cover is not replacable. It is short sighted of patiogro

The patiogro greenhouse is very good except for the cover. I haven't had it for long, the wind starting blowing and the cover ripped where the ties are attached. Not sure how I can fix it or even if I can.

I love my patiogro, and used it to grow loads of things last summer, but like previous reviews I have found the cover far too flimsy. It tore at the first bit of wind, and my garden is pretty sheltered. It is a good idea that doesn't quite work.
