Traditional Laundry Starch

Gives my clothes a lovely feeling and makes great slime (mix with white glue and water and a dot of food colouring).If using in washing machine this requires you to mix into a paste before putting in dispenser, problem is that it does sink to the bottom so you cant just shove it in at the beginning of the wash so if you have a machine with rinse hold or fabric conditioner hold button it is great otherwise you do need to pour it into the compartment at the right time otherwise you will end up with a gunky mess but for hand wash it is great.

I love this stuff! I use it in the washing machine but make a solution with water and pour straight into drum, starch into the dispenser will clog up. I don't know about other machines but mine has a 'starch' setting which makes life even easier!

I have been using this for years on my heavy cotton sheets, wonderful when you first get into bed! I just wait until the wash/spin programme has ended, open the door and put about 4-5 spoons of powder directly into the drum, on top of the wet sheets. Then I just re-run on starch programme, you can also use rinse programme, a half load if you have one. This saves clogged up dispensers and works great. Hope this helps.

Well,it does what it says but,it is difficult to get the timing right unless you know the timing of the rinsing cycle or are prepared to wait for the right moment.It does clog up the compartment if the starch is too thick and if you thin it down with water the effect is pretty poor. However if you persevere with the timing and the paste and get it right you will end up with 'starched' washing.

I bought this starch with the gope of using it on bedding and tablecloths. I followed the directions to use it in a washing machine but found that it all just settled to the bottom of the dispenser and clogged it all up. I had to clean the machine out on trying again it did the same. So no use I'm afraid.
