Lakeland Large Water Eater

I purchased two Lakeland Large Water Eater items. They are incredible doing the job which saves me a lot of time first thing in the morning when my bedroom windows are all really wet with condensation. I am so pleased with my purchase,

I received this item to test and have been using it at the bottom of a patio door which has very bad condensation in cold weather. It is a good size and fits across one half of the door. There hasn't been a lot of cold weather during the test period but on days when condensation has been forming I've definitely noticed less of it on the half of the door with the water eater underneath, although it hasn't completely cleared it. I think it will do a good job of absorbing water which often drips from the top of the door. I would consider buying a second water eater for the other half of the door.

Test review period was October 2025 I placed this product along the window ledge in my shower room which suffers from condensation after anyone takes a shower. Normally I would open all the windows in this room, but this is not suitable in winter months. The product was able to absorb the condensation generated by multiple showers. There was no evidence of water collecting on the window ledge or of the product becoming saturated. It felt "damp" after the condensation cleared and dried quickly without removing from the ledge. The product is well made of good quality materials.

I received this product from Lakeland to test and review for them. It is approximately 9cm wide, so will fit well on smaller window ledges. I tested the product in October, with little condensation. To test it, I placed the product at the bottom of a wet shower screen. It absorbed the run-off and trapped it without any leakage. On removing the product, the ledge beneath it was slightly damp, as was expected. I dried the product indoors which took 2 hours. This will vary depending on how much it has absorbed. Overall, I found this to be a good product, although drying times could be an issue

Test period was late July with warm/hot weather. Product was installed along the bottom of door to outside which suffers from condensation in winter. No condensation existed so it was impossible to fully assess this product. A good quality product at a reasonable price, and I would be prepared to buy a unit to test. It would be useful to know how long it takes to dry out the product, so customers would know how quickly the product could be re used. (needs info on packaging)
