ShowerShroom Stealth Drain Hair Catcher

Bought this to try and replace my oxo metal one which discoloured within weeks, this catches the hair easily and cleans easy aswell abit pricy but it works

I see someone from the previous review has had the same problem - it does catch almost every hair imaginable but then the water won't drain and it is an ordeal to try to get the hairs out. The hairs are all wrapped around the various parts of the catcher, and getting the hairs out is a painstaking task. So, what makes it so good at catching hair, makes it so bad for cleaning. So, I'm afraid this one was in the bin after a week.

I've been using this product for nearly a month. It does catch the hairs as it says and seems to reduce soap scum but no way it it as easy to clean as the video and packaging suggest. The item does not allow the water to drain freely and it needs cleaning every couple of days, despite the fact that my husband and I both have short hair. You can't just wipe it. You need to pull out bunched hairs from the. little bobbles inside which is fiddly and takes ages, plus the item itself is already showing signs of discolouration, despite being rinsed thoroughly after cleaning. A complete waste of money

We used this only a few times because it was impossible to be under the shower head and not kick the shower shroom where it was placed over the drain - it didn’t grip the shower tray and therefore moved at the slightest touch. Useless and rather irritating!

I assumed when I bought this that it had a bit underneath that fitted into the drain - it doesn’t. This means that in my small shower I am constantly inadvertently kicking it away from the drain, or it moves away with the water movement so it might as well not be there at all. Maybe in a more roomy shower it might work. But a complete waste of money for me sadly
