Tatay 6 Litre Kitchen Compost Bin

Many years ago, I bought a china compost caddy, which looked nice, but was breakable - and indeed, the lid broke, so I glued it together and carried on. Then a crack developed down the side - time to get a new version. This sits nicely on the worktop and I use strong paper liners inside. It hold quite a good amount of vegetable scraps and my worms seem to enjoy the results. Being able to carry it by the handle is useful.

Love this bin for my kitchen compost. The attached lid is brilliant as I am able to fill the bin without having to manipulate lid and waste at the same time. The neutral colour is pleasing and the bin is completely washable. What’s not to like. Excellent value for money.

Perfect size for my food waste bags, seems has if it will last a long time because of the quality of this product. Wish there’d do different colours that will match better in some kitchens

This bin is a reasonable size, the handle and the fact that the lid stays attached when opening are good. However if you hold it up to the light you can see straight through the side slots as the lid does not cover them when it is closed. The lid is not a click shut lid, it just sits down and is not level at the sides and is slightly bowed! I don’t think it can possibly keep odours in. What is worse though is the outer and inner beige plastic is very bitty, scratchy and unpleasant to the touch. I think it will easily attract dirt. The lid is smooth though. I could not recommend it sadly.
