A good cleaning paste is naturally an essential in any cleaning tool kit – and this Astonish ‘The Good One’ Cleaning Paste is actually both – good by name and natural by nature. Made from 100% naturally derived ingredients, it’s good for your home and the planet – it even comes in a plastic-free, recyclable tin.

Harnessing the power of plants and nature, there’s not many places this multi-purpose paste won’t clean: sinks, showers, tiles, windows, doors, cooker tops, barbecues, pots and pans, even your trainers. Using tiny gentle quartz crystals, rather than micro-plastic beads that pollute our waterways, it’ll scrub away dirt, rust, stubborn marks and burnt-on food.
Good for the planet
The certified Vegan formula is also Cruelty Free – so it’s not tested on animals – and it’s safe to use around pets and children, with no nasty chemicals or fumes to worry about. In fact, it leaves behind a fresh minty fragrance for the ultimate natural clean smell.
How to use
Test on an inconspicuous area before using it for the first time on a new surface. Dampen a clean sponge, nylon scouring pad or soft cloth with clean warm water, scoop a small quantity of paste and gently apply to surface in a small circular motion. Rinse with clean water or wipe with a clean cloth to remove residue and excess paste.
Please note: this paste is abrasive. Care is needed on delicate or polished surfaces to avoid scratching. Not suitable for use on: non-stick coatings, polished metal surfaces or brushed stainless steel. Do not use on plastic, cracked or damaged enamel/glazing or appliance decals and transfers.

I was really keen to try this paste as I have enjoyed the bio-mex product also. BUT a I had to fight to get the tin open once I had used it, I even got my husband to try & remove lid. ( he couldn’t get the lid off ) The product was very good but exhausting to get started. I’m going to empty contents of tin into a plastic container otherwise I will just throw away.
This product I usually skirt around as it is more that I want to pay for a cleaning product. However, I had some blackened bottoms on my saucepans and my usual cleaning methods couldn't shift this. My arms, too, haven't the strength to really scrub. So I tried this out and came away very happy that I had.
It's more than "Good" Cleaned the insides of my microwave and air fryer with very little effort and they are now sparkling clean. Well worth the money. I, like other reviewers, found the lid a bit difficult to remove so I use a silicone stretch lid now.
This product has a subtle minty scent which evokes freshness but is not overpowering and cleans very well too. The two uses I have put it to so far have been extremely successful ie: the inside of the oven door and my butler sink. I am looking forward to trying it out on the huge range of other surfaces it claims to be suitable for. I concur with a previous reviewer about difficulties with the lid and have just revised my review from 5 to 4 stars because today I simply could not remove the lid and had to wait for my husband to open it - I will seek an alternative cover but won’t buy again.
