Recycling bins don’t come much smarter than this 40 litre one from EKO. Not only does the Mirage X look good, you don’t even have to touch the lid to open and close it. How good is that?

Sleek design

Designed with hygiene in mind, this sleek bin will work in any home, is made from fingerprint-resistant brushed stainless steel, and will fit neatly against a wall or kitchen unit to maximise space.

Motion sensor soft-close lid

If you prefer to be hands-off with your bin lid, you’ll love this – a motion sensor on top opens the lid for you as you approach and stays open for five seconds after you walk away. There’s also a manual option if you need the lid to be open for longer. And it closes softly too so you don’t have to worry about it clattering noisily down afterwards.

40 litre capacity

Under the lid you’ll find two removable 20 litre buckets – colour-coded for easy waste separation. And the lid is designed to hold your bin bag neatly, with no messy overhang of excess liner.

Built-in deodoriser

Let’s face it, bins get smelly, so this one has a built-in deodoriser that’s compatible with EKO’s odour filters and perfume capsules (available on their website).

A hidden handle at the back allows for easy movement.
