Skoy Recycled Scrubbing Cloth

I have been using a Skoy scrub cloth since last September really pleased with it. My sister in law bought me one whilst she was on a visit from the US. I have used it ever since popping it in the dishwasher from time to time or washing it in washing up liquid to keep it fresh. I no longer use the green scourers for our dishes and pans. It’s got a few small holes in it now. I am just deciding whether I can recycle it in the waste material bin at work. I haven’t had any problems with it and purchased a new Skoy cloth today. Will not be using the throw away scourers in the future.

This is made from recycled plastic. I brought it thinking this is good for the environment but it turns out it is really, really bad for the enviroment. It falls apart and smaller bits of plastic run down the drain and into our waterways. This is just spreading plastic around. I think it was a good idea hone very wrong.

Excellent long-lasting purchase, far outweighs the quality of other scrubbers.

The textured surface works very well and does an excellent job (as a previous reviewer stated) of cleaning up mucky areas. It needs to be hung somewhere where it can drain easily between uses. I am pleased to report that it doesn't appear to harbour unpleasant smells! Unfortunately, after using it a couple of times, the overlocked edge started to pull away from the main body of the scourer in a narrow, separate strip, which was a little dissapointing. I hope I was unlucky and that this isn't going to happen to all of them, because, apart from this, it's a tough little scourer!

These cloths are great little scrubbers, I have stopped using the disposable 'green scratchy cloths' for washing up in favour of this gem. So much more environmentally friendly. I've been using it for several weeks, months even, and it doesn't smell, hasn't lost its performance and is tough enough to get most pans etc clean. Good for getting the tea stain off mugs too. Every now and then I pour boiling water over it to sterilise it but I haven't noticed any nastiness clinging to it after prolonged use. I am about to buy more to give to friends!! Highly recommended.
