But this Skoy Recycled Scrubbing Cloth does just that, so you can do your bit for the planet while it does its bit for your kitchen.

Kind to the planet, tough on dirt

Made using remnant cotton fibres from the towelling industry, it’s decorated with vibrant colours and patterns to replace the dirty old brush or sponge sitting on the edge of your sink (you’ve been threatening to get rid of it for ages). These fibres are then treated with a plastic-free, food-safe ‘hardener’ which gives the cloth its scrubbing power – it’s a lot tougher than it might look!

Suits a lot of cleaning tasks

So it’s not just a colourful, clever way to reuse excess waste materials – it’s effective on most surfaces, and outlasts many traditional scrubbers.

Reusable and washable

And when it starts to look a bit grubby, you can simply pop it into the washing machine (or even the dishwasher) to freshen it up.

Please note: not suitable for polished surfaces, as it might scratch them.

"Amazing little cloth"

This is such a good little scourer. Non scratch and does an excellent job.the bonus of cleaning it in the dishwasher is great.

"Small but so useful."

These little scrubbing cloths are great for stubborn marks and diy disasters. They bring up mucky areas a treat. I use paint quite a lot and this item so useful for cleaning up my stainless steel sink after projects. I also keep a couple of these separate for scrubbing my pastry board, chopping boards and for scrubbing potatoes and carrots.

"At last!"

I have been waiting for Lakeland to stock these amazing scrubbing cloths. My Canadian sister-in-law gave me a couple five years ago and sends me some now and then. I brought a dozen back from Canada to distribute to friends and they keep asking me where they can stock up so I'm pleased that I can now direct them to their nearest Lakeland.

These cloths are great little scrubbers, I have stopped using the disposable 'green scratchy cloths' for washing up in favour of this gem. So much more environmentally friendly. I've been using it for several weeks, months even, and it doesn't smell, hasn't lost its performance and is tough enough to get most pans etc clean. Good for getting the tea stain off mugs too. Every now and then I pour boiling water over it to sterilise it but I haven't noticed any nastiness clinging to it after prolonged use. I am about to buy more to give to friends!! Highly recommended.
