The easiest way to get rid of peelings and food scraps is to scrape them straight into a compost bin, so wouldn’t it be handy if you could hook one onto a kitchen cabinet door, so it sits right under the edge of your countertop? You can do that with EKO’s sleek little EasyStore Compost Caddy, and you can also stick it to tiles or glass if that’s easier.
Easy to hook or hang where you want it
This slimline caddy (it’s only 12cm deep) comes with a hook so you can hang it over a cabinet door, and also with a strong sticky pad that holds it fast to ceramic tiles or glass – and can be removed without leaving a trace.
Easy to fill and empty
This is clever – the lid can be clipped to the side of the rim when you’re scraping in your scraps, so you don’t have to fiddle around or find somewhere to put it. There’s also a removable rim at the top that holds a liner in place, and a sturdy handle when you want to unhook it and take it to your compost heap or council food waste bin.][And it’s made from wipe-clean polypropylene, so it’s really easy to clean if it gets a bit mucky.

This simple item does everything I need from a compost caddy. It’s easily washable, easy to hook on a cupboard door and the carrying handle makes it simple to manoeuvre. I complained to Lakeland once and they resolved it to my satisfaction and I’m now giving praise where it is due. This is well worth the money.
I bought this as I was fed up of having to get my current food caddy out of the cupboard everytime I needed it. It's definitely an improvement - very easy to access and hides away nicely. I can also attach it to the outside of the cupboard door if I'm peeling a mountain of veg! However, ideally I would like it to be a bit bigger as it gets full very quickly. The depth could definitely be increased without causing problems with it fitting in the cupboard.
