Here’s another great idea from OXO Good Grips – a Kitchen Sink Strainer that catches all those little food scraps and stops them going down the plughole, while still letting water drain away.
With a wide stainless steel rim to hold it in place on the bottom of your sink, the silicone ‘cup’ in the middle sits inside recessed plugholes, catching any bits of food that find their way into your sink from draining veggies or doing the washing-up. When all the water’s drained away, simply lift out the strainer by the central ‘stalk’ and pop up the flexible silicone cup to easily remove anything inside.

I was a bit wary about ordering this sink strainer, but I needn't have worried - it fits the kitchen sink perfectly and catches all the bits. It's easy to empty too. Very happy with it.
These are fantastic. Measure your drain first though. They just sit and can be easily lifted out. Solves a problem.
Bought this for my new sink. It fits ok but the holes are too big to catch smaller bits, grains of rice just passed through straight away. Would be more helpful if the holes are smaller. At £11.99 it is an expensive item of little use. Thinking of returning Mrs Briggs

This does the job it's supposed to do but the holes get clogged up very easily making it difficult to clean.
