Bought this for the bath which has a pop-up waste to try & stop so much hair clogging the waste pipe! Utter waste of time & money as does not grip bath surface or stay in place as slightest movement of water displaces it & it floats about! We use the OXO flat metal shower trap in the shower tray & that is Brilliant! Very disappointed, just doesn't work for us.

I stuck this on my shower drain and the water pools slightly, up to the first set of holes. This isn't that bothersome, it's only about half and inch and it's better than snaking clogs out of my shower all the time or paying for a plumber, but it annoyed me enough that I took it out and got the flat drain protector (I don't have a pop-up drain, so that's what I should have gotten to begin with). I was impressed that it stuck to the shower floor so well, even with the pooling water. if you have a pop up drain it will probably be perfect.

This just doesn't work. Firstly, it is easily dislodged, meaning hair can escape under it down the drain. This is specifically what I am trying to avoid. Next - water pools around it meaning I'm standing in ½ inch of water. Sadly I will have to go back to my cheap old wire mesh strainer. Update.................. 5 stars to Lakeland who have refunded my purchase.

Fed up of my shower getting blocked by my long hair, I decided to give this a go. I’ve tried different ones in the past, they either don’t work, or float away and don’t stay where they are supposed to. This one doesn’t have any of those issues and I suppose the only drawback is that I have to collect the hair that gathers around the outside of the protector - but at least it’s not going down the drain. It fits over the current sliver ‘plug’ on the shower base and looks neat and tidy. It’s certainly a lot greener compared to having to pour chemical unblocker down the drain every so often.
