Rotho Albula Compost Caddy Slate Colour 6L

I use this caddy every day, together with the caddy bags. All vegetable waste is collected in the caddy and carried, by it's very handy handle, to my allotment. Lid fits securely and keeps in all the veggie smells. Small enough to be discreet but large enough to carry quite a lot of waste. As we are vegetarian we do generate a lot of vegetable trimmings. Nice grey colour goes well in my kitchen. Highly recommended.

I'm pleased with this compost caddy. More capacity than my old one so less trips to the compost heap. Good quality and price.

I bought this compost caddy because I was tired of my smaller one filling up so quick and leaving the bag only parlty full. This one fits a 10 litre bag perfectly, with enough over the top to hold it up and not drop in when filling it. The lid stays up when putting food scraps in and fits well to hold in the smells. Very pleased with it and would recommend.

I like this caddy to start with. It has a good internal volume and the smells stay in. However, the limited opening if the lid makes for trouble. It won't stay open when I am tipping waste in. It flaps shut when I am trying to empty it. To cap it all, the handle has given way. Some little white plastic doohickey has come off when I was emptying it and I can't find it. Now it has a hole where the handle used to clip in, letting out smells. It is only 3 or 4 months old. I am buying a new bin from another brand.

Unfortunately I am disappointed with this product. Because the lid doesn’t stay upright when in use, I find it topples over if not enough waste in it to compensate. It also is not easy to clean out as the lid has a few crevices in it for potato peeling juices (when peeling potatoes) to congregate in.
