The Perfect Porridge Mug will help you make, well, just that – perfect porridge in a mug – in your microwave. Just add oats and milk or water up to the fill lines on the inside of the mug and microwave for as little as a couple of minutes – job done.
There are measurements for both small and large portions on the inside, so there’s no need for weighing scales, saucepans or wooden spoons, just this clever mug, a teaspoon and a microwave. Printed on the outside of the colourful mug are lots of ideas for extra ingredients and toppings you could add. What about mixing a few dried cranberries or sultanas in, or adding a little sprinkling of cinnamon before you start to cook? When it’s ready, you could even pimp your porridge with a generous swirl of honey, a scattering of chopped nuts or, if you’re feeling really decadent, a handful of chocolate chips.

I use my mug every day to make my breakfast porridge. I purchased the previous coloured one and had it for years. Absolutely brilliant! Just shake oats from packet into mug, add milk, give it a stir and then cook. I use a 800 watt microwave and cook for 3 minutes, take out, give it a stir and enjoy. No pans to wash!!! So delighted with this item that I'm now getting two for Christmas presents.
This is amazing easy to use recommended to me by my sister I can now make lovely porridge so easy to use and makes perfect porridge every time and you have two options a small portion or big portion all marked out on the bowl can’t go wrong use at work every morning.
Fab idea but instructions say porridge will take 2 minutes in the microwave. That’s never going to happen even in my microwave which is higher watt than the instructions state. 3.5-4 minutes at least unless you like chewy porridge oats. Secondly the mug is far too small fit the larger portion guides as porridge grows a huge amount while cooking in the microwave and it just overflows. Luckily I like big mugs of tea so that’s what I’ll be using it for otherwise I’d be annoyed at the waste of money.
The microwave cooking time is based on a 750-800 microwave and so you need to adjust the time and temperature as necessary, and our buying team do make sure that all products are tested beforehand. However I'm sorry it hasn't met your expectations and will be in touch shortly.
