"Avoid at all cost"

We bought this as a Christmas gift for people we were visiting this Boxing Day. Embarrassingly within 2 minutes of use the swivel element had broken and the marble top was detached from the wooden base. Suffice to say when one of the knives was used for the first time and the handle broke it two from cutting cheddar it was fairly obvious this item was not fit for purpose. A shame as it looks very nice.

"Useless!"

I was bought this item as a Xmas present and exactly the same happened to me as the previous reviewer. We used on Boxing Day and my husband cut into the cheese and the knife snapped into two. It broke at the joint where the blade joins with the handle. I have reported to Lakeland. This item is nice to look at but useless if you want to cut cheese with the knives. It is not cheap and is now totally redundant. No joy from Lakeland!
