For families with small children, keeping knives away from small hands is essential. Shutting them into drawers is not safe and blades can easily become damaged. Joseph Joseph have come up with this clever, lockable knife block to keep knives secure and protected until they’re needed.

LockBlock features a Cam-lock mechanism that holds on tight to knife blades until an adult-sized hand lifts one of the two release buttons – a firm press, beyond the capabilities of most young children is required. Knives cannot be lifted out as if from a standard knife block, pulling on them only increases the strength of the grip, making it impossible to force blades out of the block. There is a release mechanism on each side, making it suitable for right or left-handed users.

Each knife features Japanese stainless steel blades, precision-ground edges and ergonomic, non-slip handles. Each is colour-coded to match its own slot.
