Perfect for adding a splash of colour to chalk notice boards or any hard, non-porous surface, this pack of 4 multi-coloured Liquid Chalk Markers includes on each of white, blue, red and green, and are super easy to use. Simply shake, push and write straight on to glass, plastic, metal and ceramic surfaces. Once dry, the liquid chalk is resistant to fading or smudging and can be wiped off with a damp cloth.
These liquid chalk markers are suitable for use on any non-porous surface including chalk boards, glass, plastic, metal & lacquered wood. Please note that are not suitable for slate chalkboards or other porous surfaces.

Pens are fine and write well once charged (shaking them and pressing in the tip whilst holding upright). As I am writing on a vertical surface (kitchen blackboard) they do sometimes need recharging. I also use them to date tubs of leftovers in the fridge as the details stay put until I decide to wash them off. No more trying to remember when it was that I used half a tin of beans!
They are a bit of a phaff to get going but, when they work, they're fun and the green and red are vibrant colours. My blue and white don't work. And now that I have read the comment about the porous board, I probably won't be able to use them again anyway as I misread the back of the instruction card and only saw "all blackboards, chalkboards...." not "all Securit blackboards, chalkboards ......"

I purchased these chalk markers as I thought the writing would look neater on the kitchen blackboard. They are difficult to write with; you need to stop and shake the pen constantly in order to get the chalk liquid to flow and even then it really doesn't. But worse still, they are definitely not 'easily wipeable'' - they have left an imprint on my board which despite effort will not come off. I will now have to buy chalk and a new board - not good! :(
We're sorry to hear you've experienced this problem. Our buying team have advised the notice board markers are not suitable for slate chalkboards or other porous surfaces but if used on porous boards - 24466 Magic Eraser Block or a melamine sponge will remove any residue.
