I bought this as a present for my syrup sponge loving hubby, and it really does work! We had a light and delicious sponge in 4 mins. 1 to make it, 3 to cook it. We ran a knife around the edge, turned it out and ate it with custard. If you can make more variants, even better, and we can get them all in for presents. I'll get the choc one and try that too after the success of this.

This is so easy and the puddings are a hit.
Delicious, quick and easy, a lovely hot pudding for a chilly evening...but after 4 attempts [and following the instructions closely] I still haven't managed to make one without half the sponge and syrup pouring out of the mug, down the sides and all over the microwave plate. Fortunately the dog loves it too. I'll just have to keep trying.....or else empty the mug into a bigger bowl before it goes in the microwave.
