3 Remote Control LED Candles

I bought these a few weeks ago and just ordered 3 more sets, one being another set for me and the other 2 destined for Christmas presents. I have to say, they are lovely! They emit a soft authentic flickering glow and look very much the part. They managed to fool my husband in our newly decorated lounge with new fireplace (I'd promised no more candle burning in that room!). The remote is ace! So, we have the cosy feel and the flickering flame and light of the candles without the mess real candles can often leave. I have this feeling I may just need one more set for myself! :)

I love this set of candles they not only look good but feel waxy coated. The remote control is a great addition to the use of this set, they flicker like real candles too very effective in my hurricane lamp and no messy wax to clean up.

These candles are lovely and are a safer option than having real candles. They look great on their own or in a large lantern. However, I have found out over time that if they are turned off using the remote control, the batteries will lose their power, even if the candles are not being switched on. I now turn each individual candle off using the switch on the base of the candle, which is less convenient, but it saves the battery power. Each candle uses three AAA batteries.

I also bought these along with the smaller set of 6. The set of 3 does indeed have the battery compartment from hell, what I have done after eventually getting the glasses sized screws out is to throw them away and rely on the plastic clip. They do have a remote control which is very handy. The set of 6 smaller ones have a very easy battery compartment, but do not have a remote control! They both appear come from the same manufacturer, can't the two departments talk to each other and make one great product?

I was really pleased to buy these candles to use at Christmas, but trying to insert the batteries today I find they are extremely shoddy. You have to remove a plastic plate to insert the batteries. The Phillips screw is tiny and fixed hard. If you press too hard you are frightened you will crack the base of burr the screw. I will have to do a 30 mile return journey to return these to the shop - very unhappy with this product not up to Lakeland quality
